Cologne, June 17, 2025. BLOK has exclusively advised the shareholder of Marc Schmitz GmbH on the succession-related sale to Dutch-based VDK Groep B.V., a portfolio company of EMK Capital LLP.

Marc Schmitz is a leading specialist provider of services in heating, plumbing, air conditioning, and electrical engineering. The company also focuses on consulting and installation of heat pump systems. Founded in 1998 in Cologne-Ehrenfeld, Marc Schmitz has grown from a small four-person business into a mid-sized company with around 70 highly qualified employees, making it one of the largest HVAC service providers in the Cologne area.

VDK Groep is a Dutch group of technical installation and maintenance companies offering multidisciplinary, end-to-end technical installation and service solutions. With over 100 companies and more than 5,000 professionals, the group ranks among the market leaders in the Dutch installation sector.
